March Traffic Report

I’m super into transparency and sharing successes, but I think it’s wrong to only share your wins. You need to also be able to share your lows and everything in between.

So, I want to share the traffic for my blog during the month of March.

First, I want to give some clarity.

I’ve been blogging for a long while, three years ago I started getting trolled quite aggressively and I deleted all of my blog posts. At this time, I received over 1000 page views a month and I worked my arse off to get that.

Since restarting my blog properly at the beginning of the year, I’ve decided I want to do better than what my blog once was.

We’re 3 months in and my traffic is halfway to what it once was. That is fantastic, however, for March, my traffic wasn’t what I wanted but not off by too much.

At the beginning of March, I decided I wanted my traffic to be up by 20% compared to February. I was off by 4%, so that’s pretty close I’m not going to be mad about it.

I didn’t spend any time on Pinterest last month or schedule any tweets. So I’m really impressed with the traffic I got. My monthly views on Pinterest were really down, and that’s because I put no effort in. I didn’t pin a single thing.

My traffic highlights from March were that:

– I rank for 80 more keywords compared to February
– My organic traffic is up by 3%
– My traffic from social is up by 63%
– The other 34% of my traffic is direct

So my plans for April are to:

– Make 10 pins every day
– Share 3 blog posts on Twitter a day
– Post on Instagram twice a week
– Publish a blog post every Saturday

My stretched goals are to:

– Hit 2000 followers on Twitter
– Achieve over 1000 monthly views on Pinterest
-Improve on last months traffic by 30%
Improve my DA.

So I will see you back in around a month, to review April.

Wish me luck guys.

  1. So cool that you’re sharing your stats! I’m curious about your conversion stats? For example, how are your email stats doing (+1 subscriber here 🙂 ) ?

    • Hey, I can definitely start to include them! I only had 2 email subscribers at the time of posting this!

Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂
