It’s been a wild one, I’ve had the busiest few months and my anxiety has never been worse. I think things are going to start to change soon. So I’ve had a lot of big wins and it’s been really really cool. I thought I’d catch you up with everything and let you know what’s going on.
This blog post isn’t about anything specific, just a bit of a brain dump.
Behind the scenes
So this month, I officially started my role as an SEO training lead for The SEO Works. This is a split role, so I get to keep on doing what I love and working with clients. I’ve been doing this for a few months but not it’s all official, so I get paid to train and develop my team members. I’m so so so excited about it but jeez, it’s gonna bit a lot of work!
Then on the 1st of July, I found out I was shortlisted for Business Influencer of the Year by Blogosphere Magazine. Which was absolutely wild. I’m so happy that you(some of you) find enough value in what I do to nominate me for this. I can’t believe that I was then shortlisted for it. If you do like the things I do, you can vote for me over on the blogosphere site. Voting closes on the 15th of August.
Because of the award, I’ve decided to take on an extra project by attempting to grow my Instagram. I want to give myself the best chance to win, so if you want to follow me please do!
I will be speaking at SMX Convert in August, so I’ve also got to create the slides and record them!

Conferences
As you might be aware, I am down to speak at Brighton SEO on 22nd July. I will be speaking about how you can cultivate a great relationship with developers.
In this talk, we look at why your suggestions may have been turned down in the past, what developers are actually looking for and how to better communicate going forward.
You will leave this session with the ability to successfully implement technical SEO, improve relationships with developers and understand the needs and pain points of a developer.
